Antigua: English Harbour Beach and Galleon Beach

English Harbour Beach, also known as Galleon Beach, overlooks the vast complex of Georgian-era warehouses of Captain Horatio Nelson, classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 2016. This beach is surrounded by green hills and is a real sight for tourists. The surrounding area is a beautiful mix of white sandy beaches, rolling hills covered with lush tropical vegetation. The waters are clear and full of marine life. ideal for snorkeling. The waters are calm and perfect for sailing among the anchored boats and for Fort Berkeley, an ancient fort built in 1704 by the British Royal Navy. Galleon Beach is probably one of the best beaches in the south. The beach is reachable by a decent road though a little steep and there are not many amenities but there is shade and is a little quieter than Pigeon Beach.
