The Anteros Tactile Museum exhibits a collection of three-dimensional translations in bas-relief of famous paintings from the Middle Ages to the Modern Age, with particular attention to Renaissance painting. The educational service, free of charge and open to all citizens, aims at the educational and social integration of people with visual impairment, and makes use of the foundations of the psychology of optical and tactile perception married to typhoidology, art theory and special pedagogy. The aim of the museum is to educate the integrated use of the residual senses, in the presence of visual impairment, for a strengthening of the perceptive, cognitive and intellectual faculties of visually impaired people, but also to educate the sensitivity of visually impaired people.
