Dating back to the 14th century, Torre Marrana is an important ruin of an ancient stone watchtower, built with granite and limestone. It has a circular plan with a cylindrical development, standing at approximately 10 meters tall and located two kilometers from the coast, in an isolated position on a rocky promontory near the village of Brivadi.

The tower received signals from the nearby Torre Ruffa and transmitted them to other towers along the coast to reach the Monteleone Castle and signal the arrival of Saracen ships to the inland areas.
