The Church of Saint Thyrsus is a Roman Catholic Asturian Romanesque church situated in Oviedo was established in the 790s. Dedicated to Saint Thyrsus, it was built by Tioda, the royal architect of Alfonso II of Asturias. It is next to the tower of the cathedral and formed part of the primitive Palencia ecclesiastical complex built by Alfonso II. Of the primitive church, only a window in the sanctuary remains, it has three arches above marble columns with beautiful capitals and is framed in an Arab arch.
