On the second floor is an excursus of what has been the Sardinian historical story from the Neolithic to the early Middle Ages, while the other floors are instead designed for geographically oriented exhibition areas, with artifacts from the most important excavations.

Thus, among grave goods, imperial-era jewelry, Byzantine coins, Nuragic pottery and vessels, one can gain an overall picture of the events that affected Sardinia over the long course of centuries. Very interesting then are the collections from the prehistoric and Nuragic periods, with mythical bronzes depicting warriors and mother goddesses.
