It was in 1989 that Mr. Yves Thuriès, twice Meilleur Ouvrier de France, opened the Sugar and Chocolate Arts Museum at the top of the medieval town of Cordes-sur-Ciel (France's favorite village in 2014), where he developed his pastry workshop called "la Croquanterie" in the Prunet house. A 14th century Gothic bastide classified as a historical monument by Prosper Mérimée in the 19th century. A man from the Tarn, passionate about good taste and work well done, Mr Yves Thuriès is generous in his cooking, his pastry, his chocolate and his transmission, all qualities of a fellow worker. From the very beginning of your visit, you will be amazed by the permanent and unique exhibition of works of art made of sugar and chocolate. Creations made by the Best Artisans of France and World Champions, including Mr. Yves Thuriès, twice crowned Best Artisan of France in two different disciplines, a unique achievement in the world of the Best Artisans of France. You will (re)immerse yourself in the world of the Middle Ages, mythology, nature or even tales and legends. A mural exhibition will accompany you throughout your visit, tracing the career of a visionary, Mr. Yves Thuriès. Finally, to conclude this visit and delight your palate, a gourmet tasting.
