Mount Katmai is located in southern Alaska, in the United States. Mount Katmai is a part of Katmai National Park and Preserve.
It is actually a large volcanic crater filled with water, it is about 2 kilometers tall it used to be a little taller, but on June 5, 1912 a volcanic eruption (largest volcanic eruption in the world – of the 20th century) blew off its top and created the crater.
