Baccalà all’abruzzese is a typical regional dish made with salt cod, potatoes and onions. Surely all of you are familiar with cod and know that it is a fabulous product, tasty and excellent in any type of preparation. Italy is the second largest consumer of it in the world, after Portugal.
Cod with onions is made by peeling and cutting the cod into pieces and then flavouring it in a pan with a sauce made of oil, chilli pepper, celery, cinnamon, carrot, onions and various herbs.
