Abbey of Fontigliano. This Benedictine abbey was founded in the Longobard era and represents an uncommon example of a rural sanctuary. To be admired is the façade, characterized by a Gothic mullioned window with two lights, and a polychrome wooden statue, which is located inside the church.³³ Next to the Abbey, until recently, there was the Antiquarium, a small museum with archaeological finds of the Roman era, which attracted several archaeology scholars, including Mommsen, considered the greatest of all time. The Curia decided to move the museum inside the Episcopio.
