A symbol of Geneva’s interest in the arts, the Musée Rath hosts the
Musée d’Art et d’Histoire’s temporary exhibitions some two to three
times per year. Opened to the public in 1826, the building was one of
the first in Europe to have been conceived from the beginning to host
and exhibit works of art.
Since 1910, the Rath Museum has been a prestigious venue for temporary exhibitions organised by the Art and History Museum of the city of Geneva. It enjoys an international reputation in the field of contemporary arts.
