The main entrance to the museum is located next to a large open plaza, providing space for reflection and observation of the Memorial. The interior of the museum è features large, light-filled spaces, with large windows allowing natural light and a view of the Memorial's reflecting pools. The museum's architecture seeks to create a solemn and respectful atmosphere, allowing visitors to fully immerse themselves in the history and significance of the events of 9/11.
